Photo Contests
GROENE CAMERA
The Groene Camera is an annual photo contest for Dutch and Belgian nature photographers. By limiting submissions to these two countries, the organization aims to create a level playing field so that photographers can measure their talent and creativity against each other.
The contest itself consists of three parts: Nature Photographer of the Year, Nature Photo of the Year, and Nature Talent of the Year. For the title of Nature Photographer of the Year, participants must submit a series of at least seven and at most nine images that together form a cohesive visual story.
The Nature Photo of the Year consists of several categories from which an overall winner is chosen: Landscape, Weather and Natural Phenomena, Mammals, Amphibians and Reptiles, Birds, Arthropods and Invertebrates, Plants and Fungi, Abstracts, and lastly, Black and White.
